There are other forms of dermatitis, any of which you may personally be afflicted with. Common forms of this condition include:
Childhood eczema; in infants this is often called "cradle cap" because it often presents on the scalp. Psoriasis
Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease that actually affects not just the skin but the joints as well, and is sometimes associated with arthritis. Red, scaly patches appear on the skin which is also usually inflamed and thick; these patches can also take on a silvery or white appearance.
